Applying To Be An International Student

Highroad Academy has a high academic standard.  We have been finalists twice for the prestigious Garfield Weston Awards and over the past ten years have consistently been rated among the top academic schools in BC by the Fraser Institute ( 

As well as high academic standards, we have high behavioural expectations from our students.

Steps for General Admission:

  1. Complete the International Student Application Form and submit it by email or fax to:

  2. Submit an English translation of your last two years report cards

Steps for International Students from China:

We are happy to be working with Ronald Cai and Joe Cai from the Choice Education Group who will be acting as our agents in China.

Of course, we are always happy to answer any questions you may have with regards to your son or daughter studying in Chilliwack, British Columbia at Highroad Academy.

Once You Have Been Accepted:

  1. Highroad Academy will issue an acceptance letter which is required for obtaining a Study Permit from Citizenship and Immigration Canada.

  2. Notarize Guardianship documents – our International Student Coordinator, Mrs. Jenine Basaraba will act as Canadian Guardian if there is no other suitable Guardian available.

  3. Please notify Highroad Academy as to your arrival date in Canada.

  4. Once in Canada bring your passport and Study Permit to the Highroad school office.

  5. Tuition fees are due and payable prior to the start of school – a bank draft drawn on a Canadian bank or direct deposit from your home country are acceptable forms of payment.

  6. Medical coverage will be arranged by Highroad Academy and will be effective on the day that a student leaves his or her home country.  There will be a fee of $800.00 per year for medical insurance.
