Japan Mission Spring 2009

During our Highroad Spring Break, five students and I travelled to Japan for a 2 week mission trip. We experienced the extremes of this country– the mega - city and a mountain village, church ministry and public school exchange, Christian and traditional Japanese Shinto/Buddhism. The students had a variety of artistic, athletic and cultural experiences including food that defied description. Our mission had three aspects– serve, learn and pray. Our boys worked hard to fulfill their mission and I was very proud of them. The last five days we worked with a church in Osaka with an ESL program that supported outreach to unsaved Japanese parents. Our boys also participated and ministered in a youth camp. We had an unforgettable time in Japan.
