Admissions

Are you ready for a challenge?  Do you want to learn a new language?  Do you want to experience Canadian culture?  If so you may be ready to apply for admission to Highroad Academy.

Highroad Academy has a high academic standard.  We have been finalists twice for the prestigious Garfield Weston Awards and over the past ten years have consistently been rated among the top academic schools in BC by the Fraser Institute (www.fraserinstitute.org).  

As well as high academic standards, we have high behavioural expectations from our students.

Steps for Admission:

  1. Complete the International Student Application Form and submit it by email or fax to:

  2. Submit an English translation of your last two years report cards

Once You Have Been Accepted:

  1. Highroad Academy will issue an acceptance letter which is required for obtaining a VISA.
  2. Notarize Guardianship documents – our Principal, Mr. Dave Shinness will act as Canadian Guardian if there is no other suitable Guardian available.
  3. Please notify Highroad Academy as to your arrival date in Canada.
  4. Once in Canada bring your passport and study permit to the Highroad school office.
  5. Tuition fees are due and payable prior to the start of school – a bank draft drawn on a Canadian bank or direct deposit from your home country are acceptable forms of payment.
  6. After three months in Canada students can purchase medical coverage through the Medical Services Plan of BC.  Please acquire medical insurance for the first three months of your stay in Canada and bring a copy of the policy to the school office.
