Highroad Academy strongly believes that students need to discover and develop the talents God has given them in both music and drama. Every K-6 student of Highroad Academy receives music instruction twice a week. The elementary music program is characterized by enthusiastic on-pitch singing, confidence in rhythm skills, and student self-discipline during high volume, high movement activities. Classes also prepare for chapel worship and various concert events throughout the year such as Remembrance Day ceremony, Christmas Concert, Open house, Spring Spectrum, choir festivals and community outreach. Our music program also includes two levels of Concert Band, Senior High Jazz band, High School Choir, Intermediate Worship Leadership training, and a MIDI elective track, teaching music theory, recording and songwriting through computers.
